Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
25 years - We started working out of Ron Shurie's home garage in Mago Vista in 2000. At the time we built custom PCs, and performed service and support for small businesses and home users alike. The PC horizon looked a lot different then than it does today. A new fairly fast PC of the day cost around $2,500.00! Compare that to the today's prices, and one can see how PCs have proliferated through out business and well into our homes for personal use. the Internet was in it's infancy.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary product is Managed Support Services for business clients. That said, we have a dedicated shop technician - Corey - who does miracles for our Home User clients as well as our business clients. He has an unmatched reputation for quality service in Annapolis, and the surrounding area. Corey does remote virus remediation as well as system optimization for clients from our office, while you sit comfortably at home.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I (Ron Shurie) discovered that I had "knack" for computers back in the late 90's, and decided to leave the world of European Automobile Service to pursue a 2nd life career in Computer Support. From the first day, I determined that I would provide affordable quality service for small businesses in and around Anne Arundel County. Since then we have grown to support clients in our metro areas including Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Personalized attention. Our staff mans the phone from 8:30-5:00 and takes every call without you having to go through an auto-attendant. We also provide superior service that is guaranteed to please. Our business clients attest to that. Many have been with us for in excess of 15 years.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have only our location at 2569 Housley Road, Annapolis, MD and do not plan for expansion beyond this location.
Provide detailed directions to your location
From the South - From Bestgate Rd., cross Generals Hwy onto Housley Rd.and come up the hill to 2569, on your left. We are immediately before the new three story townhouses. There is one parking pad out front, with additional rear parking accessible from the driveway next to the phone pole.
From Defense Hwy (Rte 450 near Home Depot) Turn onto Housley Road and follow it around the circle and up the hill. Pass the condo complex on your right and look for the new three story townhouses; we are immediately past them with parking as indicated above.
What type of payments do you accept?
Visa, Master Card, Discover and AmEx as well as cash, and check.
Which areas do you service?
Metro Annapolis, Baltimore and DC. We have shop clients from Anne Arundel & PG Counties as well as the eastern Shore.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our president is Ron Shurie, who deals with the firms operations on a daily basis. Our walk-in clients are most likely to be greeted by Lauren Robison, and Corey Dull, who look forward to meeting you!
What are your hours of operation?
We are open weekdays from 8:30-5:00, and can make special arrangements for extended hours on an as needed basis.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We appreciate comments from clients that address the quality and efficiency of our work along with the care and understanding our technicians exhibit in the course of their interaction with our clients.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Your business and trust is earned, don't take it for granted.
